day 46-51

day 46 (tuesday, 02/15/11):
Left the house at 7am this morning and even with all the traffic, I was still able to make it here in around 30 minutes :/. It seems like no one even gets here until after 8am.

And then I sit outside the office for 30 minutes saying hi to all the veterans that pass by like a fricken greater or something. (do I sound bitter? lol). Nothing significant happened today (or at least nothing that I can remember now that I'm writing this entry a week later lol).

day 47 (wednesday, 02/16/11):
So I left the VA at noon today to go to my meeting in Long Beach. Again, meetings are pretty insignificant. After the meeting, we went to happy hour at this bar right across from the VA called The Beach Club. They actually have this Belgium beer that I like that I thought they only had at BJ's. It's the Peach Lambic except they had the rasberry one. At BJ's you can mix half Lambic with half of their cider and its super good. Got to see Tanya for the 2nd time since she's been back from Hawaii. Other than happy hour and stuff, there really wasn't too much that happened. We were just talking about our regional "professional development" retreat to Vegas in April haha. Let me just say there will be a lot of "professional development" going on haha.

day 48 (thursday, 02/17/11):
Thursday was a very special day because it was the birth of one of my bestest besties in the whole entire world, Judy! lol. So after work, Pearl and I got to chatting up about taking Judy out and so we gathered the Fab 5 girls up and went to POPchampagne, this wine bar in Pasadena. It's a small little place right next to the Container Store. We got a bottle of sparkling wine because on Thursdays their bottles are 33% off. We also tried a bunch of stuff. Judy got the Strawberry ice cream sandwiches, Pearl got the Churros, Sophie got garlic fries and I got the Chocolate Peanut Butter Creme Brulee (I know... you should have seen my face when I read that off the menu... instant O-face =P jk). All the food was pretty good but I definitely want to go back to try the Truffle Mac 'n Cheese. They ran out of that when we went :(.

day 49 (friday, 02/18/11):
The downside to this gig at the VA is that I won't get to have 3 day weekends anymore like I did at RiteAid. Even though I had to work on Saturdays, it was nice to have 3-day weekends just for my current dating situation. On Fridays the students lead a Glucose meter class so me and the other student just watched the pharmacist present this time and we'll be in charge for the next 5 weeks. After work I studied at Starbucks with Judy and then went to Target afterwards. It was pouring cats and dogs while we studied. We also got our free credit reports. Apparently I have 28 accounts open :/.

day 50 (saturday, 02/19/11):
Judy's birthday celebration was today. Pearl came in her Pearl bus and picked me and Judy up and we headed to Peach Cafe. We got there a bit early but apparently the gym that used to be right next to Peach Cafe is now a scrapbooking store (=O) so I pretty much went crazy and bought all this stuff (can my excuse be it was on sale? lol). Lunch at Peach Cafe was delicious as usual.

Afterwards we went to see The Kings Speech at the Krikorian. It was surprisingly good. Pretty funny. After that, we went bowling at 300 in Pasadena. I haven't bowled in the longest time! I sucked lol. I didn't even keep track 'cause I sucked so much lol. We decided to just walk over to Islands for dinner. We were so tired afterwards that we decided to call it a night.

Judy and her present :)

gotta love 'em balls

day 51 (sunday, 02/20/11):
Got lunch at Noodle World because I was trying to get a feel for what kinds of foods Tony would like. I mean, Noodle World is exactly like Banana Bay and Coconut Bay right? lol. He was so surprised to find the statue of Bob's Big Boy in the restaurant that he busted out his camera to take a picture. I've officially Asian-ized him lol. I don't know why but the food at Noodle World has become NOT SPICY AT ALL!! I don't know what happened but the Spicy Yakisoba didn't taste spicy at all! I was slightly disappointed. Their Noodle World Fried Rice also said spicy and again I didn't taste a single bit of spicy-ness. Afterwards, I wanted to go see what this Half & Half Honey Boba business was all about but there was literally a line as long as "the great wall of China" outisde of the Half & Half on San Gabriel and Las Tunas. So we parked right outside of Subway and we saw people eating inside. We were so tempted to go up to the window and be like "Five! Five Dollar! Five Dollar foot long!" The line was much too long so we decided to go see Gnomeo & Juliet instead. We went to the Santa Anita mall and apparently the world was about to end and the mall was the bomb shelter or something because it was friggin crowded as heck! We pretty much went around looking for parking for about 20 minutes and then gave up. Next stop... Target lol. We walked around Target for awhile and then it was time to Tony to drive back down to SD.

That's all for now folks. I know I'm still a week behind :(.
Last week was a bit hectic but I will be caught up before you know it!
Have a great week ya'lls!

day 43-45: back it up back it up

Oh boy, it's been a long time since I last updated! Gotta hop right back on the bandwagon!

day 43 (saturday): it's a beautiful day in this neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor...
On Saturday, we went out for lunch at this place Miami Grille which has Cuban food. Friggin' delicious!!! Seriously still have dreams about their Jamaican Jerk Chicken which was what I got. Tony got the Havana Chopp which had this really good curry sauce. Both dishes were extremely flavorful and the Jamaican Jerk Chicken was extremely spicy. Both (spicy and flavorful) were my requests which were fulfilled :). Then Tony wanted to take me to Seaport Village but we forgot that there was an airshow going on so it was super crowded. It was a super nice day outside so while Tony was driving, I just stuck my head out the window (yes... like a dog lol). Let me just say it was great haha. After that, we decided to go to Balboa Park. This place is fricken gorgeous! There were a bunch of people just laying out and it reminded me of UCLA and the rolling hills by Janss Steps. Here's some pictures because I am way too lazy to type about it being that I'm already over a week late in my updates lol.

For dinner, we went to a Thai restaurant called Siam Nara. The service at this place is crazy!! I mean they are literally waiting on you hand and foot! It's great because the food is pretty spicy and they literally refill your water every time they pass your table and they walk by A LOT. After dinner, we wanted to get Thrifty's Ice Cream at RiteAid but they were closed. So we got something even better... McDonald's ice cream cones with fries! Delicious!! So good! The perfect mix of sweet and salty!

day 44 (sunday): steal some covers, share some skin
Not much happened today except Tanya had to come down to San Diego to pick up her car so we met up with her and Jason at this ramen place, Tajima. Before that, Tony and I decided to get a "snack" at this place, Cotixan Mexican & Seafood Restaurant. This was the famous surf and turf burrito that Tony kept talking about. Being that I'm not a huge fan of Mexican food in general, it was pretty good and I can imagine how much better it would taste when you're drunk lol.

day 45 (monday):
Today was the start of my fifth rotation which is Ambulatory Care. I'm supposed to start at 8am but I wasn't sure how bad traffic would be so I left my house at 6:30am. It actually only took me about 30 minutes to get there so I'll be leaving a little later from now on. My preceptor seems really cool and I have another student with me from USC. I love that this site is super organized. I got an actual syllabus of everything I'll be doing for the rest of the rotation and it really doesn't seem that bad at all. This clinic is mostly an anticoagulation clinic so patients will get their INR measured and then they come to the clinic and we figure out how to dose their warfarin. I actually got to interview a patient yesterday which was pretty cool. Felt like I was actually making an impact.

So I know I'm super behind but I really don't want to bombard you with a gynormo post so here's a snippet.
Hope everyone has an aweseome hump day (I swear I always update on hump day or something lol)!
Excited to see Linkin Park tonight!!! *throws up some rocker signs & sticks out tongue like I'm Avril*

day 41-45: seeing you gives me tachyarrythmias =P

Happy Valentine's Day errbuddy!!

Photo: Beastly couple Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer *drools*

Gahd it's been forever since I updated huh?! Mah bahd! Got a little preoccupied with rotation numero 4 ending and then my trip down to San Diego. *so I'm realizing now that I will have to break this update into 2 parts because I have too much to say and too little time. I've literally been updating since around 7pm lol*

day 41 (thursday): sometimes solutions aren't so simple, sometimes goodbye's the only way
In celebration of going to see Linkin Park in exactly 9 day (yay!), the Shadow of the Day song was played over and over as I rejoiced over ending another rotation! The sun definitely set for this one being that I worked 1-10pm on that last day. He hasn't given me my grade yet but I'm guessing it's going to be a "B" because my clinical skills are definitely lacking. The ending of this rotation was quite bittersweet. I felt like by the end of this rotation, my preceptor had really warmed up to me. He even gave me a nickname... "Bump-its". Originally he wanted to call me "Snooks" after Snooki but this other girl that works at the pharmacy is from Jersey and he calls her that so I guess Bump-its is the next logical thing after snooks lol. But yeah, nothing special happened today. Just ran some errands before work: bank, Ziba, and oil change.

day 42 (friday): i'm going down down baby, yo street in a range rover
Woke up around 9 because I had to finish up some laundry before I headed down to San Diego. Didn't start heading down to San Diego until 11:50a. I was so surprised by how difficult it was to pack for the whole weekend! And I didn't even wear anything crazy fancy. For the most part I was wearing jeans with either a tank or t-shirt. I guess the difficult part was trying to transform something that I would be wearing during the day into something I could wear at night so I wouldn't have to bring my big 'ole Europe suitcase. Anyway, the drive down to San Diego was nice and smooth. Encountered one cop with one of those gun things but luckily I braked like no tomorrow lol and was spared.

I forget how nice the drive down to San Diego is! The last time I visited SD was actually this winter break with Christina and because SoCal was experiencing freaky weather, it was actually cloudy and raining for the entire drive. On this particular day (and for the duration of the weekend), the weather was absolutely beautiful. I had to try so hard not to turn my head towards the ocean (it's really a shame I haven't gotten the driver of the year award yet with my spotless driving record and all lol)...

Anyways! haha. So I haven't really talked much about the matters of the heart here just because things are in the beginning stages and I didn't want to jinx it (and I still don't! how many fingers/toes/eyes should I cross? throw salt over my shoulder? =X). But whether things turn out to be the next great love affair or just another ribbity froggy, I'd hate to not document something that's such an overwhelmingly beautiful part of my life right now. So like I said, it's still the beginning and with the beginning stages, there's always that excitement. But at the same time there's so much uncertainty (I mean, nothing in life is ever certain but it just seems a lot more certain later on). Anyways! lol. There was the question of whether or not to celebrate Valentine's Day, Single's Awareness Day, Vale-normals Day, whatever you want to call it haha. We decided that it would just be better if we didn't celebrate it. So when I met him up at the Park & Ride (I couldn't check-in to my hotel yet because check-in was at 3pm and I arrived in SD around 1:30pm), I was surprised to find flowers waiting for me in the car :) (one batch was of my favorite flower, the stargazer lily) *photos below... keep in mind the photo I took today (2/14) and flowers are from Friday and spent 3 whole days tanning and becoming more like leatherface in a car lol. I'm telling you, these flowers are survivors =P*.

Anywhos, there was also a bag of other goodies for me but we were both starvles so we headed to our dining place for lunch. I had mentioned that I love seafood so he brought me to Jake's Del Mar (I realize they have a bunch of restaurants of the same company in Hawaii... just went to the site and tried to pronounce the words... it was not pretty lol especially Poipu Beach bahahahaha). I had the salmon which was delish because it had this Asian-y sauce and it was straddling the "rare" line (what can I say? I like my cows moo-ing and fish practically swimming lol) and he had the sea bass which was a little dry but still good. The atmosphere is super nice because you're pretty much eating inside a beach house. Seriously, the pictures on the site really don't do it justice. We literally scarfed down lunch in 30 minutes and then it was another mysterious excursion to an undisclosed location which ended up being the tidepools at Cabrillo National Monument. What a beautiful view. I tried to take pictures but honestly they sucked ass-holes compared to the real thing so I'm not even going to waste space by posting them up lol.

After checking out the tidepools and doing some hiking (which I did in my flip flops... again lol... I'm starting a new trend of ways to sprain your ankle), we went to check out the Old Point Loma Lighthouse that is supposedly haunted (or maybe Tony's just pulling my leg because I'm reading about it on the Cabrillo National Monument website and I see no such stories about it being haunted :/ lol). It's got this super cool spiral staircase which I did not take a picture of because of my fear of heights and there wasn't much room to do much in the lighthouse. We walked around some more, went to the gift shop, and then decided to head back to the hotel to check-in. So I opened the rest of my goodies and he got me a scarf from anthropologie, made a penguin card from scratch :) and a mix CD. Extremely thoughtful and heartfelt gifts :). *pictured below*

I ended up staying at a DoubleTree. It was actually a really nice room and they had Neutrogena brand soaps and shampoos/conditioners (fancy schpancy for me! better than the generic stuff that makes you feel like you still need to wash your hands after you've just washed them lol). Later on that night I got to meet some of his friends (one of which looks like the Asian dude from The Fast and the Furious) and then we went to have sushi (yumes!). After that we went and got boba at Tea Station and then we decided to call it a night 'cause we shared a large sake bomb and I was definitely buzzed lol (what happened to me?! weak sauce :( ). So we get back to the hotel (keep in mind that for some reason there's like no Asians in this part of San Diego lol) and we're walking towards the hotel and Tony's like looking around desperately for a trashcan. I'm like, "We look extra Asian carrying in our boba drinks huh?" and he's like "Why do you think I'm looking for a trashcan?" lol. Seriously though, at Jake's Del Mar I was experiencing culture shock with all the Caucasians around.

I'll end my post here for now. Hope ya'll had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

day 39-40

So I forgot to mention that I contacted my preceptor on Monday. She seems really nice. I asked her if there are certain things I should look over to prepare and she was saying how the main focus will be on the anticoag clinic so to look over those guidelines. She also said that we’d be going over most of the main disease states every week so hopefully this will really help me prepare for Internal Medicine because I’m pretty sure I’m going to look like a dumbass.

day 39 (tuesday): priceline devirginized
This coming weekend I’ll be heading down to San Diego for a mini-vacay after the end of this 4th rotation. So I needed to book a hotel and I’ve recently been informed of this Priceline business. It was a pretty great deal considering I’m put a bid of $43 dollars a night and I’ll be staying at a Double Tree. With all the fees and stuff it ended up being around $50 a night which is a lot cheaper than what I paid before when Christina and I went to San Diego right before Christmas. And another cool thing about Priceline is that you can go thru Ebates and get 3% back on your purchase! Although Ebates has been kind of pissing me off lately because I went and bought stuff from both Barnes and Nobles and Priceline and somehow they didn’t recognize that I bought anything. I wrote to their customer service about it so we’ll see what they say.

day 40 (wednesday): 2nd to the last day!
Today is the 2nd to the last day at my current rotation!! I can’t believe this rotation is over already! That means that I’m 2/3 done with rotations! Graduation is only 3 months away!! Ahhh!! Today was super busy at the pharmacy. I felt really bad ‘cause I haven’t really been typing any prescriptions this whole time until the other day when one of the technicians was like “oh, the other interns just asked Michael (my preceptor) if they could start typing.” Oh. Good thing I found this out the last week of rotations! lol. Anyways, so I was typing… at snail’s pace. I mean I’m used to getting a script and then looking to see if we have any in stock so that’s what I do and it takes me forever. I’ve been out of a retail pharmacy for way too long :(. Sometimes we dispense drugs and I’m like “wtf is this?!” Or, “Wha?!! They have a generic for ______ now?!”
Today will be my last day hanging out at this Borders to wait out traffic! I’m a little sad because the baristas here know me now haha. It’s funny how the baristas here know me better than my regular Starbucks. They’re a lot friendlier too! They will be missed!

So I was checking out Lauren Conrad’s new Spring 2011 Lookbook via The Budget Babe and I'm loving it. I really love her looks because they aren't too out there and I feel like it's stuff I would actually wear. Also, her styles are more on the conservative end (not too revealing) so it would be stuff I could wear to work as well. The new line has a lot of blazers and spring dresses which I love. If I can find a good Kohl's coupon, I'll probably be buying a few things. Plus, it's another Ebates site so I'd be getting cash back! (I swear getting cash back will be the death of me... This is why I buy so much stuff using my credit card because I'm always like "oh! I get 1% back!".

Alrighties kiddies, lots of drama for your momma at the moment so I'm gonna head out. Hope you guys had a good hump day!
P.S. One of my friends asked me to be her maid of honor!! Super duper excited!!

day 36-38: gong shi gong shi!

Music: Lloyd ft. Juelz Santana - Pusha (I was listening to a CD I made of my Top 25 most played songs before my hard drive had to be replaced and this was numero dos! So fitting too being that I'll be a licensed pill pusher soon =P)

Howdies!

Hope everyone had a great Chinese New Year and Superbowl weekend! Here's my update of my weekend.

day 35 (friday): biggie biggie can't you see
I had Friday off and finally got a chance to see my big sister, Cat, from my fraternity! We went to get drinks at Gyu-kaku 'cause they have some pretty good drink specials and on this specific day, they actually had a buy 2 get one free deal so we each ended up getting 3 drinks each :). I think the Peach Berry drink was my favorite. I also tried the Lychee Saketini which was kinda strong and the Bay Breeze which was alright. It was so nice catching up because we literally haven't gotten together since maybe the pledging days.

day 36 (saturday): family din din and blue valentine
So this was one of those weekends that I had to work but my preceptor let me out early which was nice. I went home and then went to a family dinner with my mom's side of the family. It was really nice being home for Chinese New Year for once! I've been in Stockton for the last 2 Chinese New Years and I feel like I'm so distant from my family. It was good getting to catch up with some of my cousins. Apparently we all have Words with Friends so I've started playing with them now haha. It was funny 'cause we started playing during dinner and we were all zoned in on our phones.

After dinner I went to see Blue Valentine with Judy, Pearl, and Sophie. So I didn’t really know what the movie was about, just that Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams are in it and I saw a brief preview of it where Ryan Gosling was making Michelle Williams tap dance outside the shop. But dude, the theatre must’ve been hot ‘cause even my eyeballs were sweating! What a sad movie! There were so many parts where I was crying and then after the movie Judy was like, “Who died??” lol. But I thought it was a good movie that really makes you think.

day 37 (sunday): death-aversary?
Woke up and went right to shopping lol. I mentioned that I bought the Groupon for Barnes & Nobles so I used it on a Naplex Review book. I read the reviews and apparently there are a lot of typos, etc but I really don't know what to expect for the Naplex at all so I think it will be a good starting point.

Then I went to my uncle's (on my dad's side) house in Claremont to have a get together for the anniversary of my grandfather and for Chinese New Year. I got to see my cousin's son who is just 3 months old. His name is Ethan and he's the most adorable little boy ever!! I love it when babies aren't shy. He let me carry him and he was just so chill! He didn't cry or anything until we made him wear this red Chinese new year outfit and he got super hot.

Here's some pictures:
Little baby Ethan! I was so sad that I wasn't able to catch him laughing.

Left: My cousin's daughter Meredith. Right: feast!

After lunch at my uncle's, I went to Starbucks to study with Pearl. Actually got some productive studying done. I know my preceptor is going to be asking me TONS of questions this week because he's using it as a basis on how to grade me so I was trying to study a bit more on the popular disease states but I only got to look over PCP (Pneuomocystis jiroveci pneumoniaand MAC (Mycobacterium avian complex... not the makeup lol). Then we went to Target and I finally bought myself a pair of Spring/Summer shoes! I've been looking for some cute wedge or espadrilles but everything I found was super freaking expensive.

Judy joined us at Target and we decided to get pizza and beer and watch Glee at Pearl's house. So we headed to the Pizza place next to Jamba and got some pizza's togo. Apparently their pizzas are 2 for $5 after a certain time or if you check in on Yelp. We went to Pearl's house and ended up watching the end of the Superbowl game. Watched some of the commercials and the Facebook status car one really was really hilarious! After watching that commercial, I was checking FB and this came up on my Newsfeed:

I almost died laughing. Amen to that Farmville comment lol. Glee was good :). The dialogue was so friggin hilairous! Can't wait until they remake the Fireworks song this Tuesday! So Pearl told me that Kings of Leon actually hates Glee and they won't let them remake any of their songs! I was sooo sad! No remake of Sex on Fire or Closer :(.

day 38: a bad case of the mondays
So I was totally right about my preceptor asking me tons of questions (well not really tons but he went from not asking me any questions to asking me questions so it felt like a lot lol). He was asking me what are 2 issues that you need to worry about with metformin. I immediately jumped to hypoglycemia because most diabetes drugs have a chance to cause that... except for metformin because it's not a secretagogue lol. Fail. Then I dug deep into the depths of my brain and realized that it causes lactic acidosis! So that was one of them (I felt partially redeemed at this point). And the second thing was that you need to stop it before going for any contrast dye blah blah (Can you just hear jenana-banana?). And he was like why would you need to stop metformin before doing a contrast dye radiograph? And I was digging into the depths of my brain again and remembered all that stuff about acute renal failure so I just blurted it out and it was right! lol. I felt so proud haha. I guess jenana-banana's material stuck in my head better than I thought. I just kept picturing her lecture notes lol. Then he asked me about what calcitriol was. And the whole time I just kept thinking it's calcium! lol. But it's actually activated Vitamin D. You give it to people that have kidney problems because you need adequate kidney function to convert ergocalciferol to activated Vitamin D.

So I was at Borders earlier writing this post and my computer totally blue screened (aka crashed). I totally freaked out because I hadn't backed up my stuff in a really long time. So I'm backing up my stuff as we speak. I was really trying to finish this post before I got home so I ended up leaving a little bit later than I thought and when I got to the ticket booth, I was supposed to have to pay $2. I was just 2 minutes over the guy said but he just let me go :). It's funny how the littlest things can make your day so much better... even just a little text saying "eye meesh choo" :).

Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

day 34-35: deals

Happy Day 2 of the Lunar New Year!

You guys have probably seen this already but Barnes & Nobles has a Groupon right now for $10 for $20 worth of stuff (similar to the Amazon Groupon they had a few weeks ago). You still have a few days to buy it. So if you log onto Ebates and purchase your Groupon through Ebates, you'll get 3% on your purchase of the Groupon. AND if you go through Ebates again to make your purchase at BN.com, you'll get 4% back on that purchase!

If you haven't joined Ebates, here's my referral link
By joining with a referral link, you'll actually get an extra $5 once you make a purchase of $25 through the site and so will I :). Sharing is caring :).

Anyways, I just got some motivation to study :) so I'm off to Starbucks to do a little more studying.

Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!!

day 31-33:

day 31: fender bender
So in my rush to make an update, I completely forgot that this week started out a bust. On my way to work, I got into a car accident on the 710S heading towards Long Beach. I couldn't stop in time and ended up hitting the car in front of me. I reported the accident to the insurance as soon as I got to work and ended up being 20 minutes late to work but my preceptor was cool about it. But yeah, this was my first accident on a freeway and thank goodness it occurred at a part of the 710 that has a shoulder. We were in the lane right next to the center divider and were able to pull over to the shoulder on the left. It was extremely difficult to merge back into the freeway after we had exchanged information. My hands were shakey the whole day at work. Spoke to the adjuster to record my statement and then went to Borders again after work to get a little studying done. I ended up purchasing this pink journal that's proved to be extremely useful! I'm using it to keep track of my spending. I've been trying to spend more wisely and less impulsively lol. Anyways, I hate how there's a lag in the posting of stuff on my statement for my Citicard so I'm just keeping track of my purchases in the journal. I had my dad take a look at my car when I got home and he said everything looked fine. The only thing new that I noticed was that my Honda emblem on the front of my car had fallen off and the hood of my car is little raised. But other than that, everything looked fine. I was mostly worried about damage to my engine but everything seems ok so far.

day 32: the morning after
Nothing exciting happened today. I tried to show up to work a little early to make up for going in late the day before. Went to Borders again after work. I got a call during work to go pick up the stuff I ordered from JCPenney (see post below) and that's what I did. I pretty much became a bum at home after that.

day 33: super productive morning
So I've been trying to get tested for the past 2 weeks but Planned Parenthood was being a dozo and denying all my appointments until I finally got one for this morning. I wanted to get tested before I started my HIV rotation just to make sure that I am negative and I realized that even at UCLA I never got tested. It was pretty cool 'cause I had this nice gentleman helping me today. I gave them a urine sample to test for chlamydia and gonorrhea and a blood sample for syphillis. The HIV test was actually just an instant test that kind of resembles a pregnancy test. So he gets this lancet-like thing to do a finger-prick and then uses the little pipet to get the blood and puts it into this little hole in the HIV test. I didn't get to see the results personally but I saw that there was a large area above the blood hole and one is for the control and one is for the test specimen. I thought it was pretty cool how fast the test could be done!

I then went to deposit money into my new account at Citibank 'cause I had to close my Chase account. I felt like such a nube 'cause I had no idea how to use their ATMs lol. I think I've been spoiled by Chase and their envelope-less deposits and their phone image deposits. So I went inside to make the deposit and also to change my pin.

I also went to go get the estimate done for my car. The guy printed me a copy of the estimate and it said that it would only cost me $165 to get my front bumper and emblem replaced! I was so freakin' amazed because I totally thought stuff like that would cost more. Just cause it wouldn't cost much to replace the bumper, it makes me want to just get it replaced. But at the same time that would mean that I would no longer be able to push shopping carts with my car lol.

Anyways, I did this all before 11am! I felt so freakin' productive!

I did make an online purchase on Sunday (just thought of it now). I've been looking for some skinny cargoes so when I saw them on 9to5chic's Anh, I had to get them! They are originally $78 but there was a coupon on 9to5chic that reduced the price by 50%. Shipping was a whopping $9.99 but it was SUPER speedy (I received the thing today!)!

I saw this Asos boyfriend belt on lovemaegan and I've been looking for one of these belts too so I made the purchase. The great thing about Asos is that it's free shipping with no minimum purchase! AND I found a coupon code thanks to the chloe conspiracy which gave me 10% off so it ended up being $25. I really can't wait to get this in the mail 'cause I've been wanting a new belt for a really long time but I went to Target recently to try to find something but all their belts were XL.

Had my regional meeting today in Long Beach and then we all went out to Yardhouse. I really wanted to go to Starbucks afterwards to get some work done but I felt so sluggish so I just came home right after. Now my eyes are like refusing to stay open lol. What is with this grandma status behavior?! Alright, time to say goodnight!

Hope everyone has a very Happy Chinese/Lunar New Year tomaloes!!

day 29-32: it's february already?!

Holy crap the first month of the year is already GONE! Freakin' crazy! Anyways, this weekend was such a fun-packed weekend but at the same time it was relaxing. It was like a nice vacation. Like I had mentioned before, my preceptor gave me a 3-day weekend (wuddup!) so I started my Friday pretty early by going to close my account at Chase. Ended up spending the day in Orange County and eating at Red Robin for the first time. It was pretty good! Everyone's been telling me it's like Islands but better AND they have bottomless steak fries. I love me some burgers haha. Spent most of my Saturday in Old Town Pasadena. Had lunch at Sushi Roku which was delish. I also love me some sushi lol. Bought myself 2 pairs of shoes (some flats and some brown buckle boots). Then me and Tony went to Jeanne's birthday shindig at Senor Fish in Little Tokyo and karaoke-ing at Max Karaoke. On Sunday, we went to see No Strings Attached which was super cute :). My coworkers actually brought it up at work today because we were talking about Lil Wayne's purple drink haha. For dinner, I finally got a chance to try Taco Nazo and their world famous fish tacos! Super delish! I'll definitely have to go back for more sometime soon.

So I recently joined Ebates and made some purchases at JCPenney. Apparently you can purchase things online and pick them up at the store so that you don't have to pay shipping. Works perfectly for me! I bought this cotton blazer (I've been looking for one 'cause they are more casual looking) and this zipper dress (can't have too many zipper dresses right? lol). My room is literally a mess so I tried to cut out as much of it as possible lol.

blazer: olsenboye french terry blazer (purchase here)
dress: olsenboye challis zip front dot dress (purchase here)
boots: Jessica Simpson boots from Macy's

Anyways, lots of exciting things going on in the land of jenn right now =D but trying not to jinx things so I'll leave it at that!

Have a Happy Hump Day!!
