March: Part 3

Here's the final part of March! Better late than never!

Mar. 19 (mon): Work

After work, the FF gals and I went to have dinner at the new Canoodles place on Valley. It replaced "Naga Naga Ramen" which evidently has now moved to Old Town Pasadena (if you're curious lol). It was a great night of catching up with the girls and afterwards we decided to head across the street to Salju which has shaved snow similar to Class 302 but at the same time the quality of the stuff is not the same. I would say it is probably comparable to Fluff Ice at Atlantic Square. 

Mar. 21-23 (wed-fri): Work


Mar. 24 (sat): Work


Started off the weekend with the usual: Chick-fil-A. Then did some quick shopping at Marshall's and Target.  We decided to go watch The Hunger Games, which I thought was pretty good. I think whoever played Katniss did a great job. Still boggles my mind that she's also Mystiq lol. 


After watching the movie, we joined Tony's family for a late lunch at Hob Nob Hill. This place was actually featured on Triple D. The food here was pretty good. 

After a late lunch with his family, my cousins texted me because they were in town for the Hot Chocolate Half Marathon in San Diego and we decided to meet up near Horton Plaza. We decided to hit up Vin De Syrah. Pretty cool place to chill.

After having some drinks with my cousins, we headed over to Tony's friend's house where we enjoyed some tasty home cooked Vietnamese food.

Mar. 25 (sun): On Sunday, we went to Filippi's for a birthday lunch for Tony and his dad.

Tony came  up to LA for his birthday and we celebrated by going to Disneyland and watching his cousin DJ for elecTRONica.

Mar. 30 (fri): Work

Before work we headed to Ray Rays for lunch. Their salad is super delicious and so are their french fries. Their salad is exactly what I would want for the salad course at a wedding. Their french fries are a cross between McDonalds and In-n-Out lol. Everything is very tasty and healthy too.

What an amazing night! I was almost brought to tears by Sweet Disposition. I would post the video but I'm so disappointed with the video footage from this camera. It's absolutely horrible! Picture quality is great but the video is hideous. Actually, I will post my footage so you can see just how horrible the quality is.

Ch-ch-changes

Whoa. I guess its been an entire month since I've last posted. It's been crazy hectic since I've been back from Santa Barbara. Between working full time, being completely sucked into the entire 50 Shades of Grey series, and being in a long distance relationship, there was very little time for blogging. (Side note: TOTALLY recommend the 50 Shades series. It's like reading Twilight but with BDSM lol. I would recommend reading it on Kindle or an Kindle app since there are some pretty big vocab words :/ and on the Kindle, you just have to tap and wah-lah, you have the definition. I guess all that money that my parents spent on SAT prep classes didn't help.)

THEN... I got completely sucked into re-watching the entire Veronica Mars series (which I own on DVD lol). Used to love that show. Now that it's summer, there's nothing left to watch on my Hulu queue... besides Melissa & Joey (yes, I'm trying hard to hang onto the 90s, so sue me lol). I'm definitely waiting for the new Gossip Girl season and Once Upon a Time to come out of DVD so I can just watch the entire season at once. None of this waiting a week for the next episode (hold up... yes I know I'm lame. It's so fun though :)).

So many changes are brewing and I've been extremely anxious for the future. My nights have been pretty tiring since I've been dreaming non-stop. Too bad I can't really remember what I'm dreaming about. I guess it's that worry-wart gene being extra activated lately. Not sure what the future will bring but I'm hoping good things will come to those who wait.

I will begin posting as soon as I get some time to organize all my pictures. It's really hard when I'm half using my phone and half using my Powershot and the pictures are seriously EVERYWHERE. Ugh... it really bothers me when my photos are so disorganized. But yes, do look forward to some posts soon! I have a weekday off this week so I think I'll make a date with the computer then. Santa Barbara Weekend

Santa Barbara: Celebrating birthdays and friendship!

Apr. 28 (sat): Since I had work til 10p on Friday, I started off Saturday by driving up to Santa Barbara to meet up with my friends who had been there the night before. Didn't get much sleep on Friday night either since I'd been reading 50 Shades of Grey so I went to bed at 5am and started my journey to Santa Barbara at 10a. The drive on the 101 is absolutely beautiful and the windy-ness of the road makes driving on that freeway so much fun. What I didn't enjoy was coming to a complete stop and then picking up speed again every 10 minutes throughout the freeway.

Apr. 29 (sun): Last day in Santa Barbara.

What a great weekend filled with great food and great company! Happy birthday to the three birthday boys, Nam, Matty and Gerald!
