June 2013: Month in Review Part 2

June 15th
Started off my day by attending a Beauty Speed Dating Event at Nordstrom at Fashion Valley. Got to try out quite a few products including Dior and Anastasia. Ended up spending quite a bit on facial care products from Rodial and Anastasia but it was stuff I had been looking for so it wasn't just me buying things for funsies.

After that event, we headed to Seaport Village for the Oyster Fest. I wasn't feeling very good from the night before so we decided to have some small appetizers and drinks from Sally's (and also to get our parking validated). I had a bloody mary which initially made my pounding headache go away but it came back later.

drake's oysters. large and delicious! oyster shooter was bomb(dot)com too!

June 16th: Father’s Day
Spent Father's Day with Tony's family eating Korean BBQ at our favorite non AYCE Korean BBQ, Dae Jang Keum. I really like that they have a wide variety of those side dishes. They also have a small room for a more private gathering. Be prepared to smell grrrrreat afterwards!

June 17th-21st: Work

June 21st-22nd
Tanya and Jason came down to visit so we started the weekend off with a "pub" crawl. We headed to Ballast Point first, then to Rough Draft, and finally to Stone Brewery. And after all that beer, it was time for ACYE Korean BBQ! I could probably eat Korean BBQ every day if I could afford to... and then spend my days on Allopurinol and Uloric lol.

manna in san marcos. no wait at all peeps!

We got pretty sick from all the beer but woke up bright a early to try to get Snooze and Drake tickets. Unfortunately by the time we got to Snooze, there was already a huge line (as usual) so we decided to go to Tractor Room instead. Luckily we were able to get Drake tickets for his November show! Super excited. It'll be my 3rd time seeing Drake and 2nd time seeing Drake with Tanya. We saw him at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal Studios last time (probably one of my least favorite venues because if you have a tall person sitting in front of you, you are pretty much screwed) and we couldn't see anything because of the person sitting in front of us.

bloody marys always make the day so much better

definitely could not finish! look at how colossal it is!

After grabbing brunch, we headed to the San Diego County Fair. The theme this year was "Game On!" so they had this whole exhibit of games... like this extra large Jenga! Really had to use all my self control to not knock it over *maniacal laugh*.

And then there were bunnies!!! (or would they be called rabbits? maybe just a dog 'cause they were seriously bigger than some large dogs).

this one looks like a goat rabbit and old and wise lol

i took a picture of this so i could use it for future reference. not very good at knowing where meat comes from lol.

June 24th-25th: Work

June 26th
Had the day off and just blogged a little at home.

Went to the Despicable Me 2 screening in San Marcos. Look at the minion stamp they have O_O. I want!

June 27th-30th
Worked and then went to an art gallery to support Tony's coworker who had some photos there. Free booze!
