so egg-cited!

So it seems like I've been studying for FOREVER! This Friday will be the end of all the studying... at least for 3 months (until I can take the boards again... if I f-a-i-l.... which I'm hoping and praying every night that I didn't :/).

Anywhos, I can't wait for August! As soon as this Friday comes, I will be going SHOPPING! lol. Me and Tony are going on a cruise in a couple of weeks and I definitely need to update this "study" wardrobe I've been wearing everyday. I've been bookmarking a lot of things I want. I also need to purchase some stuff for the cruise as well. I'll be updating with some planned outfits and hopefully ya'lls can tell me whatcha think!

Miss ya'lls since I've been in hibernation mode (sorta haha).

Hang out with ya'lls soon!

randomness while studying

So during one of my rotations, one of my preceptors asked me to find some palindrome drugs and since I was studying one of them today, I thought I'd list them here in case anyone ever wants to know!

Palindrome Drugs:

  • Merrem
  • Ketek
  • Xanax
  • Lozol
These won't really help you on the boards, unfortunately but nice to know :)

g'luck studying ya'lls!

wedges... like!

photo: express.com - covered wedge ankle boot
What isn't there to like about wedges?! They give every short girl the height they need and they aren't a complete pain in the arse to walk in! Every morning before I roll out (like an autobot) of bed, I open up my email and go through the bajillion emails from Gilt, Rue La La, Express, Ann Taylor, Off 5th... the list goes on and on. This wedge from Express definitely caught my eye. Why you ask? The heel is concealed! Does this mean its finally ok to wear heals in the pharmacy without looking like pretentious dozo?! (Dr. Deguire being the only exception to that rule since she can actually rock regular stilettos at work. That lady must have feet of steel!). I mean for $60 (plus express always has coupons), I'm pretty sure these are a steal! After I figure out how to budget these into my shopping fund, they will be mine *evil laugh* *thunder strikes* :) jay-kay.

**side note, if you haven't noticed, studying for the boards has pretty  much made me delirious and a shopping fiend. putting things in an online shopping cart is about all I can do to keep from going insane. Thanks for bearing with me!**

Love ya'lls! 9 more days!!!! AHHHH!!!

kate middleton style

Photo: Celebrity-gossip.net courtesy of Getty Images

Ever since Kate Middleton's been in the news with the Royal Wedding and everything, my mom just goes on and on about how Diana was so much prettier and had better bone structure... yada yada yada... I think one thing is for sure though and that is... Kate Middleton has a great sense of style (I mean who wouldn't if they had a whole style crew waiting on them hand and foot... **side note: when I typed out hand and foot, all I could think of was hand-foot syndrome aka redness & soreness on your palms and soles of feet caused by methotrexate**). I especially like the business suit she wore in Canada. Classy as Nam would say (except not sarcastically lol).

Nice little study break from studying my life away... never thought I'd have to say FML again but seriously... the next 3 weeks will be filled with daily FMLs.

Hope everyone's studying is going well! And if you're done with boards (like someone!!! you lucky duck!) have fun relaxing wherever you may be :) lol.

loves

Reading my blogs this morning and Lauren Conrad's Summer Collection Lookbook was just posted on The Budget Babe. Loving all her new looks. Her looks are perfect for when I'm feeling extra girly.

Life has just been filled with work in the last couple of weeks. I won't be working much for the next 2-3 weeks to spend time studying for the NAPLEX and CPJE. Apparently CPJE results have been coming out so good luck to all the pharmers who have already taken their tests! Such an exciting time! Will be in hibernation for awhile :(.

Happy Friday everyone!

june... a month of whirlwind changes

Hope everyone is having a great month of June! I can't believe it's almost coming to an end though! The first half of this year definitely passed by extremely quickly. Summer is definitely one of my favorite seasons and I'm so glad I get to enjoy it in its entirety in southern California this year! The weather has been quite strange this year... most of June was spent in gloomy weather but I think the heat is finally kicking in! Anywhos, let's do a little recap of what happened in the last month since I rarely have time to update these days.

May 31st - My first interview with CVS. Mighty nerve racking since I hadn't gone on interviews since the Interview Day put on by the school.

June 3rd - My second interview with CVS and the day I got hired! Ran around like a chicken with my head cut off that day trying to finish my drug testing and paperwork but it was all worth it! Spent the weekend in San Diego and got a flat tire :(. Got both of my rear tires changed courtesy of Boyfriend :). Also met Boyfriend's family for the first time :).

June 8th - CVS Grad Intern Conference. Learned all about the culture of the company. It was quite interesting. I totally scarfed down my dessert.

June 11th - Spent the day at training for CVS and then headed to San Diego for the weekend to celebrate Boyfriend's brother's graduation. Party was at Tom Ham's Lighthouse (see picture below). Such a beautiful location and the food was super delicious! Also, finally got to watch Bridesmaids which was HI-larious even going in with pretty high expectations!

Tom Ham's Lighthouse

June 12th & 13th - Spent the next 2 days completing more training and celebrating at Disneyland with Judy & Pearl! Here are some photos from the Soundsational Parade!

June 17th - Spent the day in training and then headed to dinner at Houston's with my supervisors and fellow grad interns in my district! Yumes!

June 20th - First day of real work! Felt like a real slow dozo but finally picking things up. Loving RxConnect compared to Rx2000 for sure!

June 23rd & 24th - Grad Intern Training Conference. Got to see some familiar faces! Also picked up my first paycheck :D

June 25th - Nam & Matthew's Housewarming Party! So hilarious & der-ree-scious food! Apparently we're YouTube stars and had no idea ;) lol.

May ya'lls have a great 4th of July if I don't update before then!

vehicle alignment

So my steering wheel has been veering to the left for awhile and I didn't think it was a big deal until this weekend when I got a flat tire and saw that one side of my tire was completely balding and the other side was fine. They told me I should go get my car aligned so I went today and here were my results.

So yesterday we went out to celebrate my new job with CVS/pharmacy at Father's Office this beer/wine/burgers place in Culver City. It was quite delicious! And after the tasty meal, we dropped by Nam & Matthew's apartment where all us girls picked up a bunch of goodies from this box of junk Nam was planning on giving away. The JBL speakers that I picked up are the bomb diggity if I say so myself! (thanks Nam!).
